The ³ÉÈË´óƬ’s Vice-Chancellor has continued his commitment to gender equity within the University community by becoming a member of SA Leaders for Gender Equity.Ìý

Professor Peter Høj AC joins some of South Australia’s business and community leaders to work together with the common aim of achieving gender equity.

Professor Høj along with other group members from the not-for-profit sector and government are committed to changing behaviour and levelling the playing field to ensure people’s rights, responsibilities and opportunities in the workplace do not depend on gender.

The ³ÉÈË´óƬ believes strongly in equal opportunity for women and has a long history of championing the rights of women in higher education.

Professor Høj is driving the University’s ambition to foster equality and gender balance Ìýand he has been a member of ‘Male Champions of Change in STEM’ and a member of the Human Rights Commission’s Leadership Council on Cultural Diversity.Ìý

The priority focus areas for SA Leaders for Gender Equity are aligned with the University’s priorities: increasing women’s representation in leadership roles and addressing the gender pay gap.
