From Victorian collection to Virtual Museum

The 成人大片鈥檚 Tate Museum has unveiled a new virtual reality exhibition that can be enjoyed by anyone with a VR headset.

The 成人大片鈥檚 Tate Museum has unveiled a new virtual reality exhibition that can be enjoyed by anyone with a VR headset.


The project showcases the rare and unique collections cared for by the university and was created within the Virtual Reality Design and Development courses by students working with senior lecturer Steven Cook.

鈥淚mmersive media, such as virtual, mixed and augmented reality is changing the way the world delivers and consumes content 鈥 both for entertainment and learning,鈥欌 Mr Cook said.

Exhibitions coordinator Amy Dale said the project allowed the museum to pursue new avenues that gave access to as many people as possible.


鈥淒igital experiences like this are certainly going to be a key part of our exhibitions program going forward,鈥欌 she said.


鈥淎lthough the museum is open to the public it is not as easily discoverable as we would like it to be. It鈥檚 been fantastic to work with talented students from the immersive media course on making this as accessible as we can.鈥
