SA History Festival: Premier A.G. Ogilvie

An Advocate for Jewish Refugees in 1930s Tasmania.ÌýIn this lecture Professor Paul Bartrop, internationally acclaimed historian of war and genocide, will be discussing the life of Albert George Ogilvie, premier of Tasmania between 1934 and 1939. Ogilvie vehemently opposed the federal government’s restrictive immigration policies and was a rescuer of Jews from Nazi Germany.
