Network Governance for Urban Infrastructure Resilience to Disasters: Policies, Frameworks and Practice

The Stretton Institute, School of Architecture and Built Environments, the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Resources and the Environment Institute are delighted to jointly host international guest speaker Dr Naim Kapucu.

The presentation will apply a network governance perspective to examine interdependent infrastructure systems’ resilience such as water, power, transportation and telecommunication. This is critical for our understanding of the role of governing interdependent infrastructure systems to enhance urban infrastructure resilience to disasters. The presentation will also address the need to leverage collaborative leadership and organisational capacity to develop robust and connected networks to enhance resilience to disasters.
