成人大片 leaves industrial body

The 成人大片 has decided to leave the Australian Higher Education Industrial Association (AHEIA) - the organisation that represents 'employers' in the Australian university sector.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mary O'Kane, said today that the University was a unique entity that required a unique approach to industrial issues.

"As we enter a new Enterprise Bargaining round within the University, I am very much focussed on ensuring the best outcomes for our staff and the University as a whole," she said.

"AHEIA's focus is necessarily on the entire sector which includes a diversity of universities, all with different strengths, weaknesses and priorities.

"I am confident we can advance the interests of the 成人大片 more effectively outside AHEIA."

The decision means the University will represent itself before the Industrial Relations Commission and in negotiations with relevant unions.
