Former Chief Justice returns to Law School as Professor

Former Supreme Court Chief Justice, the Hon. , will return to his alma mater, the 成人大片, as an Adjunct Professor in the later this year.
The former Chief Justice graduated from the 成人大片 in 1966 and was the 1967 Rhodes Scholar for South Australia.
In 1986 he was appointed to the position of South Australia's Solicitor-General where he appeared regularly before the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia. As one of the nation's leading advocates he presented a number of groundbreaking and highly persuasive arguments before the High Court on behalf of South Australia.
In May 1995 he was appointed Chief Justice of South Australia, a position he held until his retirement in June 2012.
Chief Justice Doyle was a driving force behind the establishment of the National Judicial College of Australia and has written numerous articles on various aspects of the law. He has a strong commitment to legal education and was a part-time lecturer at the Adelaide Law School while at the Bar.
The Dean of Adelaide Law School, Professor John Williams, welcomed the appointment: "Chief Justice Doyle is one of the state's most respected lawyers. He has a national reputation as an outstanding advocate and judicial officer. The 成人大片 Law School is very pleased to acknowledge his ongoing contribution to legal education with this appointment."
As Adjunct Professor, Chief Justice Doyle will assist in teaching and mooting activities at the Adelaide Law School.
"It will be a marvellous experience for our students to have access to such an exceptional lawyer," said Professor Williams.
