Young researchers in three minute challenge

3MT finalists have three minutes to present a compelling talk on their research

Ten of the 成人大片's best young communicators will present their research to the public this coming Tuesday - with a special challenge. They only have three minutes to describe their projects and their significance.

The 'Three Minute Thesis' (3MT) competition final, a special event, will see two postgraduate research students (PhD or Masters by Research) from each of the University's five faculties present their thesis topics to a panel of judges and a public audience at the National Wine Centre.

Projects being presented range from investigating the effects of workplaces on health and the increasingly competitive world of 3D map generation and the technology driving it, through to ways that courts can deal with mega-litigation more efficiently.

Dr Paul Willis, Director of the Royal Institution of Australia (RiAus) will MC the event, which promises to be a demanding and entertaining challenge with the opportunity to hear about the latest inspirational research from the next generation of research stars.

The panel will select a winner to go on to compete in the national 3MT final in Queensland. The audience will also vote for the People's Choice Award.

Anna Olijnyk, from Glengowrie - How can courts deal with mega-litigation efficiently and justly?
Poulomee Datta, from Salisbury - I choose not to place dis in ability
Manabendra Saha, from Adelaide city - MILD combustion of solid fuels
Ori Henderson-Sapir, from Oaklands Park - Mid-infrared fibre laser: a superhero's best friend
Dinis Gokaydin, from Goodwood - The oscillating mind
