Google Director logs on to Open Day

The 成人大片 is receiving strong industry support in its bid to encourage students to study in areas such as Computer Science and Engineering at this weekend's (Sunday 26 August).

The Engineering Director for , Alan Noble, will help to man the information display, speaking with prospective students and their families throughout the day.

He will also give a public talk at 1.30pm, "Inside Google Australia", which will highlight the exciting career opportunities available to computer scientists and engineers.

Mr Noble is a graduate of the 成人大片 with a degree in , and went on to study for a Masters in Computer Science at in the United States.

He recently announced that Google Australia is offering an annual $1000 prize to the best Computer Science Honours student at the 成人大片. Google Australia also offers the annual Anita Borg scholarship, to female students in Australia and New Zealand, to encourage women to excel in computing and technology studies at University.

Google has a significant engineering and R&D capability in Australia. It actively hires Australian students and graduates to work on global engineering projects and products that are used by millions of people worldwide.

Members of the public wanting to speak with Alan Noble can find him in the on the Barr Smith Lawns, Lower Level, North Terrace Campus (near Victoria Drive).

His talk at 1.30pm will be held in the Rennie Lecture Theatre, Johnson Laboratories.

Up to 10,000 people are expected to visit the 成人大片 this Sunday for the annual Open Day.
