Prominent Singapore alumni speak at graduation ceremonies

Two of the 成人大片's high profile alumni in Singapore have spoken at University graduation ceremonies held there today.

Chairman and former CEO Dr Cheong Choong Kong, and the Second Minister for and , gave the occasional address at the two ceremonies held at the .

More than 100 students graduated across the two ceremonies.

Dr Cheong holds a with First Class Honours in Mathematics from the 成人大片, and in 1998 received a from the University in recognition of "sustained and distinguished service as an alumnus to management and communication, especially in Singapore".

He spent including 29 years at Singapore Airlines, where he was Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer before joining the OCBC Bank Board in 1999 where he now heads one of Asia's leading financial services groups, with total assets of more than $134 billion.

Minister Lim is a as well as a scholar, and has a (Honours) degree from the 成人大片. He was educated in economics and law from the Universities of Adelaide, and , and is also currently the Minister in the .

The 成人大片 holds offshore in three countries: Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. The Malaysian ceremony will be held in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, April 23 while the Hong Kong ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 30.
