Roseworthy Solar project powers up
The University’s efforts towards environmental sustainability have received a major ‘power boost’, with the opening of a $7 million solar and energy storage project at our Roseworthy campus.
With more than 3200 solar panels, hybrid battery storage and a digital microgrid, the project is expected to generate an average of 42% of the campus’ energy needs.
The project is the largest in the University’s history, and was opened recently by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Høj AC, and the Hon. Dan van Holst Pellekaan, Minister for Energy and Mining.
