Student wellbeing at the forefront of the Law Students Society
Each year the cost of required textbooks can be prohibitive for students experiencing financial hardship.Â
To help meet this need, in late-2019 the Adelaide University Law Students Society (AULSS), the peak representative body for law students at the University, established an endowed Textbook Fund to help students access essential physical and/or digital course resources in perpetuity.Â
With funds raised through sponsorship of the AULSS and private donations, essential study resources can now be provided to students experiencing financial stress, and who may not otherwise be in a position to purchase the required materials.Â
AULSS President Belal Sahil (BA Law and BA Commerce, 5th year) said the Society is very fortunate to be in a position where it can provide support to its peers.Â
This fund is a testament to the AULSS's interest in the wellbeing of our student community. It is a gesture to remind students that we should always look after one another, to help make everyone's experience at Law School a positive and inclusive one.AULSS President Belal Sahil
Each year, with our loyal donors’ support, the ³ÉÈË´óƬ can continue to invest in our students, researchers and programs.
