Terry has enjoyed a long and distinguished medical career across pharmacy and medicine. He is听also currently a teacher and mentor in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences here at the University.听
It is to help bright students like Kaviya, who would struggle to continue their studies in medicine听that Terry established scholarships in his name.
Kaviya's story
When Kaviya鈥檚 dad unexpectedly had to move overseas to look听after an ill family member, she knew that money would be tight听with her mum only able to work part-time. The Terry Farquharson Medical Scholarship was the lifeline听she needed to study at the 成人大片, and become听a doctor.

"My dream is to become a caring and proficient doctor working part-time, alongside research or volunteering in a听rural community or third world country.
