For almost 130 years, the Barr Smith Library has held a special position for learning, study support and quiet reflection. The needs of students听are ever changing, and digital resources play a critical role in ensuring they can access the most relevant information.

The 2019听Barr Smith Library appeal raised enough funds to听secure access to two new and invaluable collections听鈥 the Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Concert Hall and听Migration to New Worlds. These collections will benefit听students, like Master of Music student Andrew Groch,听and researchers across numerous disciplines.

鈥淚t鈥檚 so exciting to be able to delve into the Berlin听Philharmonic鈥檚 Digital Concert Hall. The access to this, thanks to the kind contribution of donors,听unlocks a world which is filled with the greatest musical minds of several generations. The opportunity for learning that this resource听offers really cannot be overstated, nor can my thanks to the generosity of those who have made听this possible.鈥Andrew Groch, Master of Music (Performance听Studies) student
