Adelaide Festival of Ideas
In 2021 we are delighted to be bringing the听Adelaide Festival of Ideas to life, in partnership with Illuminate Adelaide.
From Thursday 15 to听Sunday 18 July,听the will celebrate听the life of the mind, in support of the public value of ideas, thinking and innovation as foundations of civil society, an informed democracy and a robust economy.
The听festival offers our community the chance to be engaged, challenged and inspired by the program of speakers and events. Most of the events are free to attend, ensuring the festival is accessible to everyone.

Isobel听Marshall, current student and Young Australian of the Year 2021, Professor John Carty, and Kirstie Parker have joined forces as听curators of the 2021 Adelaide Festival of Ideas. They are standing in front of the听Wangu Poles, which mark the entrance of the Kaurna Learning Circle (Karra Wirraparinangku) on the 成人大片 North Terrace campus.
As part of the Adelaide Festival of Ideas, our students have launched the Art of the Possible Festival, designed to bring to life the University's creative outputs. This is an open-access, student-led festival that will run from 19 - 23 July 2021. It is presented in partnership with the University's Sia Furler Institute, the Andy Thomas Space Foundation and听the Adelaide Festival of Ideas.
