Professor Hugh Possingham announced as Queensland's new Chief Scientist
Recently completing his role as听Chief Scientist of听The Nature Conservancy, Professor Possingham has been announced as听Queensland's Chief Scientist.
We congratulate our new Chair on his next appointment with the Office of the Queensland . His expertise in mathematical and theoretical applied ecology will no doubt be invaluable in this new position.
Professor Possingham's past includes听Chair in the departments of Mathematics and Biological Sciences听University of Queensland, Chief Scientist at The Nature Conservancy, and director of The Ecology Centre, where he has remained as both an Australian Research Council Professorial Fellow and as an ARC Federation Fellow.
