The unprecedented threats to South Australia's biodiversity require legal frameworks which are fit for purpose in the context of the surprise and uncertainty of the Anthropocene. This presentation by examines the opportunities for reforming biodiversity law in South Australia. All outcomes can be found at听.

The presentation draws on recommendations of the 2017 South Australian Biodiversity Parliamentary Inquiry as well as the findings of the 7th State of the Environment Report of South Australia (2018) and the 2019 Global Assessment of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to set out pathways towards robust, responsive and future-ready biodiversity laws for South Australia.
