3D Scanning of the Naracoorte Caves
and are featured in the for their scans of the Naracoorte Cave called Shultz.
The cave was scanned in a matter of hours using a 3D Scanner (HD听LEICA geosystems听3D laser scanner) which uses听lasers to record one million points per second in in virtually 360 degrees. These points are then used to reconstruct a "mesh" fly through of the cave.
PhD Candidate Martin Ankor, from the 成人大片, is a 3D Scanning specialist who scanned the cave and put together the resulting reconstruction.
鈥淚t鈥檚 definitely going to be a case of watch this space over the next few years of this project, so this is just one aspect, but there鈥檚 other things that we plan on doing that will answer some really significant questions.

The scans will be useful for Linkage Partners such as听Wrattonbully Wine Region Association who use the site, for preserving the caves and听help听to uncover the extent of the cave system.
