Safe, clean drinking water defines civilisation
Associate Professor 听from the 成人大片's Environment Institute, recently wrote a piece for as part of their "What's Working: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" blog series.
Access to clean, safe and secure water sources is essential in order for communities to be able to thrive. Unfortunately there are still many communities around the world that do not have safe water supplies or good sanitation.
"650 million people worldwide do not have access to safe drinking water; 2.3 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation; and 500,000 children die every year from diarrhea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation," says Brookes.
