In his interview Professor Weinstein expands upon major projects he has been working on, as well as his research focus of improving human health by protecting the environment.

Ecosystem dynamics are rarely linear and changes to address one problem can often create another. One reason Ross River virus is becoming more common in Australia is that irrigation and the impact of dry land salinity means there is year-round water for the mosquitos that carry the disease,鈥 says Professor Weinstein.
