Dunstan Environment Dialogues - Power and the People.

from the Dunstan Environment Dialogues

In Australia and around the world, energy demands are on the rise. What must happen to energy generation in the face of issues such as climate change and limited fossil fuel reserves? Should power generation be localised or centralised? Researchers, governments and communities are struggling to agree upon the best method for future energy generation. The 2nd Dunstan Environment Dialogue, entitled "Power and the People" held on the 11th of November brought together scientists, renewable industry and the public to discuss this important issue for all Australians.

Professor Mike Young, director of the Environment Institute, Fiona Wain from and Professor Barry Brook, the Sir Hubert Wilkins Chair of Climate change and the author of the blog discussed what options we have to produce energy in the future.
