Students will be required to attend and pass relevant assessments for:- A personal profile and 1 x 30 minute professional feedback session
- One compulsory core workshop comprising 4 hours online preparation, 7.5hrs compulsory workshop and a 30min compulsory 1-on-1 feedback and assessment session
- Customised workshops (total 12 hours)
- A final project and presentation
1. Personal profile and feedback- 3-14 March students to undertake 15–20minute online questionnaire in own time.
- 18–21 March students to register for 1x30minute professional feedback session, to be scheduled at mutual convenience.
- Saturday 5 April Workshop 9.00am – 5.30pm
- Monday 7 April Feedback and assessment session 30 minute 1-on-1
3. Customised workshops
The schedule for customised workshops will be available in March 2014.
4. Final project and presentation
Presentations will be scheduled at various times between 9 – 20 June. -

Learning & Teaching Activities
Learning & Teaching Modes
Learning and teaching activities will vary depending on customised workshop topics, the core components include:
1. Personal Profile and Professional Feedback Session
Students will undertake a confidential, online personal profile and work readiness questionnaire which identifies strengths and development needs for workplace readiness. The questionnaire needs to be completed between 3-14th March. Following the questionnaire, students will have a one-on-one feedback session with a professional consultant between 18-21st March which will result in a personalised development plan and a recommended series of Adelaide Advantage activities and customised workshops suited to their requirements.
2. Compulsory core workshop
There are 3 components to the compulsory workshop:
Pre-workshop preparation online (4 hours)
5th April Workshop (7.5 hours, plus breaks)
7th April Individual feedback session (0.5 hour)
Workshop topics:
Module 1: Managing Self – Your personal and professional ‘brand’; Effective Communication; Business Skills & Etiquette; Goal Setting and Attainment
Module 2: Managing Culture – Working in Cross Generational Teams; High Performing Teams; Receiving and Giving Feedback
Module 3: Managing Tasks – Business Communications; Meeting Management; Presentation Skills for Small Audiences; Career Path and Planning
3. Customised workshops
Students select topics from their customised development plan recommendations.
Various topics, including: Surviving the Assessment Centre; Connections for Career Success; Power and Influence in the Workplace; Leadership in Global Enterprises, Boardroom Tactics; etc)
Students must undertake a total of 12 hours of customised workshops, in addition to the compulsory core workshop.
4. Final project and presentation
The final project and presentation will include a case-study/ reflective project (2000 words) drawing upon your learning from Adelaide Advantage activities and your personal development plan and a 15 minute viva-voce presentation to a panel comprising industry and relevant academic representatives.Workload

Student Feedback
The University places a high priority on approaches to learning and teaching that enhance the student experience. Feedback is sought from students in a variety of ways including on-going engagement with staff, the use of online discussion boards and the use of Student Experience of Learning and Teaching (SELT) surveys as well as GOS surveys and Program reviews.
SELTs are an important source of information to inform individual teaching practice, decisions about teaching duties, and course and program curriculum design. They enable the University to assess how effectively its learning environments and teaching practices facilitate student engagement and learning outcomes.
