Learning & Teaching Modes
This course is based on the principles of experiential learning and requires students to be placed in an Organisation with workplace supervision and mentoring.
Workload
The information below is provided as a guide to assist students in engaging appropriately with the course requirements.
Internships take place in a host organisation either in an intensive mode (full-time over 4-6 weeks), or in a normal mode (2 days per week over 12 weeks). The normal mode is offered during University Semester, while the intensive mode is offered during the summer break. Work arrangements will be negotiated with the host organisation.Learning Activities Summary
Internship is an immersive experience wherein learning is achieved through involvement and action. The student is expected to regularly attend the host Organisation’s workplace and perform a range of professional duties allocated to them by their professional supervisor to the best of their abilities.
The professional supervisors will report to the Course Coordinator their level of satisfaction with the student's performance.
Specific Course Requirements
Students need to gain experience in the formal and structured industry-managed Internship course, with a registered Organisation. Approval must have been granted from the School of Architecture and Built Environment to be enrolled in Internship ARCH 7036, LARCH 7030 -

Student Feedback
